Xiaomi 13 Ultra Goes Global: Launching in Hong Kong, Europe, and Taiwan in June

Xiaomi has made its mark in the electronics industry by providing affordable yet innovative electronic devices. However, the brand has been expanding its horizons in recent years, and its latest move saw it launch the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in Hong Kong today. This marks the first international launch of the flagship device since its announcement in China, back in April.

Device Features & Availability

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is available in black and olive colors, in a single 12/512GB variant priced at HKD 8,999 ($1,148 converted). This flagship from the Chinese tech giant offers incredible features, making it one of the most impressive smartphones of 2023.

Starting with the design, the device boasts a premium look with a Gorilla Glass Victus-protected screen and an aluminum frame weighing around 225g. The phone features a 6.81-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3200×1440 resolution. The display is HDR10+ compatible, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and has an under-display fingerprint scanner.

At the back, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra comes with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel periscope-style telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. It has a 20-megapixel camera nestled in a punch hole at the corner of the screen for selfies.

The ultra smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G chip, with a cooling system that ensures the device stays cool even during intense usage. The device runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, has a 5000mAh battery, and supports 67W fast charging that takes the device from zero to 100% in under 40 minutes.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow, June 8th, while open sales will begin on June 13th.

European launch

Xiaomi plans to bring the 13 Ultra to European markets on June 12, with confirmation from official channels in Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. The announcement has left tech enthusiasts and buyers in Europe excited and eager to get their hands on the flagship device.

So far, sources speculate that the device should arrive with a price tag in the range of €1,299 in Europe. The new Xiaomi 13 Ultra is already available for pre-order on the brand’s official website.
