International visitors can now enjoy hassle-free, cashless transactions across Thailand with TAGTHAi EASY PAY, a new e-wallet designed for convenience and security. Developed by TAGTHAi in collaboration with Kasikorn Bank, this digital payment solution enables tourists to make payments easily using Thai QR Payment at thousands of locations nationwide. This advancement signifies a notable shift toward digital and cashless solutions in the tourism industry, aiming to balance the unique needs of international travelers with the local economic environment.

A Hassle-Free Way to Pay

TAGTHAi EASY PAY is linked to the Prepaid PAY&TOUR card from Kasikorn Bank, providing a safe and convenient alternative to exchanging currency or carrying cash. With the ‘Scan & Pay Like a Local’ feature, international visitors can make quick, seamless transactions just as Thai residents do. This method circumvents the need for handling bulky cash or constantly looking for exchange booths, and it mitigates the common security concerns associated with carrying large amounts of money.

Tourists can obtain a PAY&TOUR prepaid card at Kasikorn Bank’s foreign exchange booths, including those at Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports. The process is simple—present a passport, exchange currency, and receive the card free of charge, with no application or card fees. To improve accessibility, Kasikorn Bank is expanding registration points to over 100 branches across Thailand beyond airport locations. This widespread availability makes the system easy to adopt, ensuring that visitors can start benefiting from cashless payments as soon as they arrive in Thailand.

Making Payments and Managing Transactions

Using TAGTHAi EASY PAY is simple. Users open the TAGTHAi app, select ‘Scan & Pay,’ scan the merchant’s Thai QR Payment code, enter the amount, and confirm with their PIN. A confirmation screen appears once the payment is successful, making the whole transaction process both quick and secure. This service is widely accepted at businesses across Thailand that support Thai QR Payment, extending its utility for nearly any purchase or service a tourist might need.

Beyond processing payments, the app offers additional features for security and convenience. Users can view transaction history, freeze or unfreeze their card, and withdraw cash at Kasikorn Bank ATMs without fees, up to 10,000 Baht per transaction per day. These features not only enhance security but also provide a safety net in case the card is lost or stolen. The exchange rate guarantee allows travelers to convert any remaining balance back to their original currency at the same exchange rate, provided the refund request is made within 15 days and does not exceed 10% of the total top-up amount.

A Growing Digital Payment Solution

In 2025, the TAGTHAi app surpassed 2 million downloads, with a 105% increase in users and a 183% rise in sales. This growth reflects the platform’s increasing popularity among both Thai and international travelers and highlights the shift toward digital travel solutions. More visitors are using TAGTHAi not only for cashless payments but also for trip planning, discovering local services, and making purchases while exploring Thailand.

The rapid adoption of TAGTHAi EASY PAY underscores a broader trend within the travel industry, where digital tools are becoming indispensable for a smooth and efficient travel experience. This integration of digital payment solutions helps foster a more inclusive economy, making it easier for international tourists to engage with local businesses. Furthermore, the collaboration between TAGTHAi and Kasikorn Bank, with support from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, ensures continuous development and adaptation to meet the evolving needs of travelers.

Enhancing the Tourist Experience

International visitors can now experience easy and cashless transactions throughout Thailand with TAGTHAi EASY PAY, a new e-wallet designed for both convenience and security. This innovative digital payment solution is a result of collaboration between TAGTHAi and Kasikorn Bank, allowing tourists to effortlessly make payments using Thai QR Payment at a multitude of locations across the country. This development marks a significant step toward digital and cashless solutions within the tourism industry, aimed at catering to the specific needs of global travelers while also supporting the local economic landscape. By seamlessly integrating advanced financial technology with traditional travel experiences, TAGTHAi EASY PAY not only simplifies the payment process for visitors but also enhances their overall travel experience.
