Soluna Launches 100MW Data Center Project Ellen in Texas

Soluna Holdings has announced an ambitious plan for a 100MW data center named Project Ellen, which will be located alongside a 145MW wind farm in South Texas. The project, named after astronaut Ellen Ochoa, sets forth a strategy to develop the data center in two 50MW phases. Soluna’s unique approach involves placing modular data centers at renewable energy sites, thus providing an innovative solution to tap into underutilized green power. Soluna’s Project Kati, a 166MW facility, is also underway in Texas, while Project Sophie, a 25MW data center, is being developed in Kentucky. The company’s aggressive expansion strategy aims to host 698MW of data center capacity across nine sites, reflecting a considerable investment in green energy. Soluna’s long-term pipeline includes 19 projects, potentially adding up to 2.6GW of capacity.
