Nokia has announced a significant initiative to amplify and extend Vodafone Idea Limited’s optical transport network across key metropolitan and circle regions in India. With this move, Nokia plans to implement state-of-the-art optical switching technologies, such as the 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS) platform combined with CDC-F 2.0 wavelength switching tech.

The cornerstone of this upgrade includes utilizing Nokia’s advanced photonic service engine (PSE-Vs) super-coherent optics, dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM), and optical transport network (OTN) solutions.
