Egypt Advances Digital Transformation with AI and Telecoms Focus

During a recent meeting, the spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, shed light on the ongoing implementation of Egypt’s Digital Strategy. Aimed at enhancing the outsourcing industry and attracting global companies to the country, this strategy underscores the importance of improving communication services and ensuring high-quality, efficient internet access for citizens. President El-Sisi emphasized the need to expand communication services nationwide to ensure the delivery of superior services, meeting the evolving demands of Egyptian citizens.

Efforts to enhance Egypt’s global telecommunications standing are being given significant attention, reinforcing the country’s role as a regional hub for communications, digital services, and information technology. Additionally, the progress of the second edition of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy was discussed. This strategy aims to leverage AI in addressing societal challenges across various fields, including advanced computing infrastructure for government and private entities, startups, and small and medium-sized enterprises, which supports the country’s national economic development goals.

The meeting also reviewed inter-ministerial cooperation on various digital transformation projects.
