In a move that underscores the increasing importance of securing artificial intelligence (AI) innovations in the cloud, CrowdStrike announced an enhanced partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) at AWS re:Invent 2024 aimed at bolstering security for AI ecosystems. This collaboration leverages the capabilities of the CrowdStrike Falcon® cybersecurity platform to offer comprehensive visibility and security measures across the AI landscape, which includes large language models (LLMs) and various applications. As AI and cloud technologies rapidly develop, organizations are facing a host of new risks such as tampering, data poisoning, and misconfigurations. CrowdStrike’s enhanced partnership addresses these challenges by implementing robust security measures throughout the software development lifecycle, from the building stage to runtime and posture management.

Innovations in AI Security

One of the key features of this enhanced partnership is the introduction of AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM). This aims to bolster security for infrastructures vital to AI progress. Complementing this, Falcon Data Protection and AI Red Team Services have been integrated to strengthen the cybersecurity framework, targeting potential vulnerabilities and cyber threats. Improvements in AI container scanning and support for Amazon SageMaker further safeguard AI workloads by identifying vulnerabilities and misconfigurations during the build phase, ensuring secure deployment in production environments.
