The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has concluded a significant investigation into labor practices at two mushroom farms located in Half Moon Bay, California. California Terra Garden, Inc., and Concord Farms, Inc. have been found in severe violation of the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA). The inquiry was sparked by a horrendous incident in January 2023, in which an ex-employee embarked on a deadly rampage, claiming the lives of seven co-workers.
