How Does RedClick and EIS Transform Irish Insurance?

I’m thrilled to sit down with Lorenzo Ioan, the General Manager of RedClick, a dynamic player in the Irish property and casualty insurance market under the Generali Group. With a fresh brand identity established in 2024 and a powerful partnership with EIS, RedClick is paving the way for innovative, customer-focused insurance solutions. Today, we’ll dive into their journey, the strategic collaboration with EIS, and how they’re shaping the future of insurance in Ireland with cutting-edge technology and a commitment to simpler, smarter experiences.

How did RedClick come to be, and what’s its role in the Irish insurance landscape?

RedClick was born in 2024 after the Generali Group acquired Liberty Mutual’s operations in Ireland. This transition allowed us to reimagine our presence in the market and create a brand focused on delivering value to our customers. We’re now a key player in the property and casualty insurance space, offering home and motor insurance to over 250,000 customers across the country. Our operations are supported by a dedicated team of more than 400 employees working from our offices in Dublin, Cavan, and Enniskillen in Northern Ireland. We work through direct channels and collaborate with over 250 broker agencies to ensure wide accessibility.

What was the vision behind launching RedClick as a new brand in 2024?

The vision for RedClick was to build a brand that resonates with the idea of simplicity and connection. After the acquisition by Generali Group, we saw an opportunity to redefine how we engage with our customers and partners. We wanted to focus on being a reliable, lifetime partner, offering insurance solutions that are straightforward and tailored to real needs. It’s about stripping away complexity and making insurance a seamless part of people’s lives, whether they’re insuring their home or their car.

Can you walk us through the partnership between RedClick and EIS and what it means for your business?

Our partnership with EIS is a cornerstone of our strategy to transform the insurance experience. It started as a way to leverage their technology to enhance our operational capabilities, and it’s grown into a deep collaboration. The main goal is to use their platform to deliver more connected and efficient services to our customers and brokers. This relationship gives us the flexibility to innovate quickly, which is critical in a competitive market like Ireland. It’s about staying ahead of the curve and ensuring we can meet customer expectations with speed and precision.

What exactly is EIS OneSuite, and how is RedClick making use of it?

EIS OneSuite is a powerful, flexible platform that acts as the backbone for our product development and delivery processes. Its open architecture and advanced tools allow us to design and launch new insurance products at a much faster pace than traditional systems would permit. For RedClick, this means we can respond to market shifts almost in real time, whether that’s tweaking existing offerings or rolling out something entirely new. It’s a game-changer for maintaining agility and ensuring we’re always aligned with what our customers need.

In what ways does this partnership with EIS help improve the experience for your customers and brokers?

At RedClick, we’re committed to being a lifetime partner to our customers and brokers, and our collaboration with EIS directly supports that mission. With their technology, we’re able to create more personalized and efficient insurance experiences. For example, we’re streamlining processes like claims and policy management, making them quicker and easier to navigate. It’s all about reducing friction—whether that’s for a customer filing a claim or a broker accessing the tools they need to serve their clients. We’re focused on making every interaction simpler and smarter.

How do you see the needs of the Irish insurance market evolving, and what’s RedClick doing to address them?

The Irish insurance market is changing rapidly, with customers and brokers alike expecting more digital solutions, transparency, and personalization. There’s also a growing demand for products that can adapt to unique circumstances, especially as economic and environmental factors come into play. At RedClick, we’re tackling these challenges head-on by leveraging EIS’s technology to stay nimble. We’re continuously refining our offerings to ensure they’re relevant and accessible, whether that’s through new digital touchpoints or more tailored coverage options.

What role does EIS play in the broader InsurTech ecosystem in Ireland, and how does that benefit RedClick?

EIS has become a significant contributor to Ireland’s InsurTech scene, driving conversations around innovation and digital transformation. They’re actively involved in events like the 2025 Transformation Summit in Dublin, where topics like AI and real-world insurance solutions take center stage. For RedClick, being partnered with a company that’s at the forefront of these discussions is invaluable. It means we’re plugged into the latest trends and ideas, which helps us stay innovative and ensures we’re bringing cutting-edge solutions to our customers and brokers.

What’s your forecast for the future of digital transformation in the Irish insurance market?

I believe we’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible with digital transformation in Ireland’s insurance sector. Over the next few years, I expect to see even greater integration of technologies like AI and data analytics, which will allow for hyper-personalized products and seamless customer experiences. For RedClick, this means continuing to push boundaries with partners like EIS to make insurance not just a necessity, but a truly supportive part of people’s lives. I think we’ll also see more collaboration across the industry, as companies come together to solve shared challenges and elevate the entire market.
